Port on Demand
Rapid IC design porting: Process to process, geometry to geometry

Port on Demand is a service from Wipro-NewLogic focused on migrating analog-mixed signal blocks/IP to new semiconductor processes and/or geometries in weeks, compared to months when using previous methodologies (10X cycle time improvement possible) whilst delivering high quality of results. The service can also be used to migrate complete IC designs and provides similarly impressive improvements in the time needed to migrate the design. Port on Demand addresses a major semiconductor industry pain point, where availability of the required analog blocks is a bottle neck when launching a new semiconductor process node or re-targeting an SoC to a new process node.

The Port on Demand service utilizes migration EDA tools and methodologies from IN2FAB, with whom Wipro-NewLogic has an exclusive co-operation agreement to utilize their patented OSIRIS migration tool and methodology in providing the Port on Demand service.

Key features & benefits
  • Rapid porting of analog and custom IP such as ADCs, DACs, PLLs USB, PCIe, HDMI, MIPI made possible in weeks instead of months
  • Limitless design size can be ported with up to 10M transistors previously processed
  • Topology and hierarchy exactly replicated in the porting methodology meaning design intent is preserved, critical for analog performance
  • Full support for Process Development Kits and parameterized cells (pcells)
  • Utilises the Cadence Design environment to update the source database. Data from other design environments and pure GDSII data can also be used as the source data

Extensively proven with over 100 migrated designs in production across all CMOS geometry nodes down to and including 45nm
