PDL qualification testing

The client
A global leader in printing peripherals.

The challenge
The client required PDL (Page Description Language) qualification for their peripheral devices. The qualification had to be done for PS and PDF page description languages. The qualification required feasibility testing, regression testing, integration testing and sanity testing to be undertaken. The client’s product and its inherent technology were new and had to be understood. Based on the understanding of the client’s product and on the requirements, we had to create a test strategy and associated test plans. Our engineers created appropriate metrics to measure the test outcomes and then had to execute the tests and track defects.

The solution
Our team of engineers identified the LAB resources required by the project and then we had to setup a test lab with required test tools. With our expertise we created a test strategy and developed requisite test plans that enabled us to achieve appropriate test coverage. We carried out manual and automated tests on the product with weekly regression activities on a continual basis.
The ability for remote test execution was built and tests were executed. Our engineers identified important quality metrics and after executed the tests, bugs were reported. Bus statistics were maintained. |

The benefit
Our client benefited by the high quality and timely delivery of test results. We enabled the client to achieve 50% cost savings in the qualification activity without having any defects slip through.
