Wipro took complete ownership of the tool and detected and fixed defects. Our engineers understood the mechanisms of Industrial Automation products and used advanced methodologies and tools to execute the tests. We used the orthogonal array approach to define test cases and used the Winrunner tool for automated testing. Bugzilla was used to track defects. Memory leaks within the component were checked.
Our test engineers carried out unit testing on the tool alongside its’ development. We also performed integration testing, system testing and acceptance testing. Our team tested the communication of the MC tool with the PLC (programmable logic controller) and performed overall performance testing for speed, reliability, stress and flexibility. A strategy for weekly regression testing to check intermediate build releases was put in place. In all more than 2750 test cases were developed. |
