The company was looking for overall optimization of its test process which had become too large and inefficient and thus was not able to track and fix complex bugs. Wipro engineers studied and understood all the existing test cases and then used methods like Taguchi to reduce the number of test combinations while maintaining the test coverage. We then identified the tests that could be automated and created automated test cases using USB-UIRT / Girder, Shell and Perl scripts. Wipro thus set a platform for more efficient test case development with reduced test cycle time.
