A large Canadian telecom switching equipment vendor.

 
The challenge

This customer has installed a large number of Centrex switches in the US and finds it difficult to maintain its installed base.

 
The solution

We provided the customer with a committed testing team for extended periods to help maintain the installations.

This included equivalence testing, regression for previous releases of the switch and standardization testing, as well as proving compliance to benchmarks set by large network operators. Protocols included SS7 (ISUP and TCAP), BRI/PRI (Q.931), X.25, X.75 and proprietary standards defining interconnection between remote switching units.

Our team of 12 engineers has tested the product over seven software releases in the last three years to the satisfaction of the customer. This has allowed the customer to greatly reduce product defects before reaching the field.

The customer benefits greatly with each passing year as the team maturity increases, thus revealing increasing number of product defects before reaching the field.
