The requirement

To verify Body electronics ECU code against functional specifications and submit detailed defect list

The challenge

	To study and understand functionalities of Body Electronics Control Unit (ECU) which controls Lighting, Wipers, Alarms, Turn and Brake indicators, Door Locks, Keyless Remote Control
	To understand a proprietary embedded operating system (OSEK compliant) used in the code base.

The solution

Wipro engineers performed the following:

	A Study of hardware schematics and specs
	A Study of software High Level Design (HLD) and Low Level Design (LLD)
	A Study of Code (C and Assembly language)
	Completed 12 code review projects (different ECU functionality and/or OEM specific implementation) of code size of each project varying from 10KLOC to 105KLOC
	Analyzed the code using static analyzer tool - PC Lint
