The customer required Integration testing (Functional regression) for GSM based BSS NE.

24 test engineers work for over 3 years to perform testing for various releases of the NE. Tcl/Tk and Expect scripts were written to automate the test cases. For the last release of the product, 11 test plans containing 141 test cases were written, of which 92% were automated using scripts. This resulted in a reduction in time and testing effort by nearly 35%.
