The customer wanted to provide information from their Global Supply Chain to:

	Provide the Buying Office and Teams with information to support initiatives to generate €1.75 billion in 2002
	Working with other components of the Supply Chain - e.g. "Make" to make available information to support the achievement of their targets
	Be able to secure the best prices, terms and quality at global/ regional level and reduce transaction costs

The Data Warehouse solution is to provide several benefits to our customer as Supply Chain Buying Savings, Key Performance Indicators for Strategic Sourcing at Corporate level and Key Performance Indicators for Make at Business Group level.

Wipro extended IT Consulting services for architecting the Data warehouse. The requirements of Supply Chain were modeled using the principles of 'Generic Entity Frame Work' for implementing in Kalido. Addressed the technical issues from the application team on reporting - Excel Shops.

The following challenges were addressed in-course of the project :
Single view of Organization - The FMCG client is spread across 100 countries with 350 operating companies. Used Sub Types and Roles to differentiate between external and internal suppliers.
Single view of Product - Designed an integrated data model for Product hierarchy to support four corporate strategic thrusts.
Unique Coding Structures - Used Alternative Naming Schemes feature of Kalido to identify different business entities from different source systems.
