Value-chain integration for a US based electronic product manufacturer
 
 
The Customer

This project is aimed at integrating client’s Oracle ERP systems with one of its Drop Ship Customers and thus expanding on its e-commerce efforts.

 
The Solution

To meet the integration challenge Wipro proposed architecture using webMethods B2Bi solution. The solution is built using webMethods B2B (Integration Server Version 4.0.1), Trading Networks Server 4.5, webMethods B2B Integrator (Integrated Development Environment) and webMethods/Trading Networks EDI module.

All three types of protocols – HTTP(s), FTP and SMTP – were used to deliver the documents. Client was already using some EDI documents so supported EDI documents also.

The client uses Ariba’s solution for their procurement needs and using the services of an Application Service Provider (ASP) - MAP5i from DataStream for purchase transactions.

In this project Wipro is helping The Client to integrate their internal systems including the Ariba solution with the ASP to enable a seamless procurement process. Wipro’s contribution to this project includes
