The client provides research on financial markets to clients for trading, investments and asset management. This research was stored in an application on a client server platform. The application in Europe was fully automated and in other locations it was not completely automated.

	Research analysts could not remotely access the application to add research content
	Editorial and compliance staff did not have remote approval capabilities.
	There was no common platform for analysts to share information

Thus the existing system was unable to meet the business need of the client.

The solution required was a web-based application that will provide the next generation publishing capabilities. There was a need to develop a web front end for remote access and remote approvals for editorial and compliance teams.
