Forrester names Wipro as a Leader in the Global IT Infrastructure Outsourcing Evaluation, Q2 2007:
Recognizes Wipro’s extremely strong value proposition that emphasizes transformation and innovation and drives productivity improvements for clients.
Wipro was named a leader among players serving the Global IT Infrastructure market in Forrester Research’s recently published independent report.
Forrester included 19 providers in the study – only the strongest global firms with a track record of success in the infrastructure space were able to be included in this study. “Wipro scored well overall on the infrastructure service market presence metrics and surpassed all the India-based provider firms in the strategy category. According to the Forrester Research report, “Wipro’s extremely strong value proposition builds on a solid foundation of promises for ongoing transformation and innovation through consolidation, standardization, and virtualization.” |

“Wipro was a pioneer in the India-based remote infrastructure service market, and now it has Global Command Centers located in the USA, UK, and the Middle East in Dubai — as well as multiple sites within India”, states the report by Forrester Research. “Wipro’s extremely strong value proposition emphasizes transformation and innovation and drives productivity improvements... It was also notably the only respondent that included a revenue goal that is tied to innovation.”

Forrester rates Wipro as a Leader in North American Applications Outsourcing in the The Forrester Wave™: North American Applications Outsourcing, Q1 2007.
Wipro was named a leader among players serving the North American market in Forrester Research’s recently published report.
According to Forrester Research, “Wipro is best suited for broad-based application outsourcing requirements… Its factory-inspired operating model and associated lean philosophy, aimed at eliminating work that is not valuable, underlies its continuing strong reputation for price competitiveness and performance against budget among client reference accounts -- among the strongest [Forrester] has seen in this analysis.” |

In recognizing Wipro’s corporate strategy, the author noted the company’s “solid vision for the evolution of the global delivery model and high commitment to the applications outsourcing marketplace”. Wipro’s client references graded it a perfect 5.0 on flexible contract terms, meaning that the company retains the reputation for flexibility that has helped propel its offshore AO model. The study also highlights Wipro’s strong cultural affinity with North American customers.

Corrigendum: Forrester Research recently updated the report on Forrester.com and noted the changes as follows, “We have corrected Wipro’s client reference score. The company should have received a 5 based on its client reference total… The report also has been updated to correct the Wave graphic, correcting the position of Wipro and [other players] to more accurately reflect their scores in the spreadsheet.”
