P. R. Chandrasekar President, Americas & Europe, Wipro

P. R. Chandrasekar (Sekar) is responsible for the strategic development of the Americas and Europe. Prior to taking on the additional responsibility for the Americas, Sekar headed Europe and oversaw the rapid growth of Wipro in this market. Highlights include expanding Wipro’s market position in the System Integration, BPO, and Consulting space.

In Wipro he has also been head of Business Development, responsible for M&A, Channel Development and .Net Business. He was instrumental in the multiple acquisitions that Wipro undertook in the past few years, including NerveWire, AMS and Ericsson’s R&D, which have bolstered Wipro’s position as a leading IT services and BPO provider.

Sekar joined Wipro in May 2000 from GE where he was Director, Business Development for GE India. He has an MBA from the University of Bombay and a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IITM).
