Innovation at Wipro is about implementation of new ideas resulting into a marketable product or service. Innovation Initiative acts as a growth engine to achieve our ambitious growth plans. It provides a climate for continuous and predictable innovation. It is set forth as one of our promises to our customers.

There is organizational focus to drive Innovation. Various functional bodies work constantly to deliberate innovation across the organization.

Advisory board
To make sure we are constantly working on new areas of opportunity we have an advisory board which gives strategic directions on innovation Initiatives and new focus areas for Innovation. Our Chairman and Vice Chairman are permanent members of the advisory board.

Innovation council
Innovation council is the functional body that nurtures and incubates new ideas within Wipro Technologies. It is the apex team of Wipro or in other words custodians of the R&D budget and approves all investments in the innovation projects. They also review and monitor the investments.

Ideas received from various channels such as innovation websites, CoEs, innovation project teams etc go through a 6 gate-stage process consisting of selection, Incubation through Launch.
