World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2012

The World Economic Forum is an independent, international organization striving towards a world-class corporate governance system that believes economic progress and social development go hand-in-hand.

This year’s Annual Meeting will convene under the theme, The Great Transformation: Shaping New Models. It captures not only the context but also the purpose with which leaders must now act – ensuring that our future is one of inspired collaboration and bold solutions to global, regional and industry challenges and not a return to status quo.

The four sub-themes of the program are:

• Growth and Employment Models
• Leadership and Innovation Models
• Sustainability and Resource Models
• Social and Technological Models

Wipro and the World Economic Forum

Wipro’s connect with World Economic Forum started in 2006 with a belief that we wanted to be part of Change in an increasingly complex environment. In 2010, we became a strategic partner while our Chairman Azim Premji was Co-Chair of the Annual Summit in the same year. For the past few years, Wipro has worked closely with World Economic Forum and other strategic partners to help transform and improve the world. Our Leadership participates in the Annual Meeting in Davos, regional summits across India, China and the Middle East, and also collaborates on research initiatives.

This year too, Wipro will contribute to the Annual Summit at Davos through events and panel discussions.
